Sweet St. David

Brian's parents are having a house built down in the booming town of Saint David. Haven't heard of it?! Well, if you have ever been to Tombstone you may have blinked and missed it on your way there! It is a little town settled by the pioneers that Brigham Young sent (Sherrie's relatives). Larry came out to do a final walk through so we went down to check it out. It was hot today and Abs got sunkissed cheeks.

Here is the house in the distance with the cool mountain view. This is from Sherrie's mothers house. (Even though I think it looks dirty and dreary I know Brian the desert lover will love this shot)

They climbed this dirt mound and others all day. They were completely brown and happy as they could be. It will be so great to have my in-laws close for the first time ever. I truly am blessed with the best in-laws anyone could ask for. We especially like the extra 3 bedrooms for grandkid summer month long stays!!!

Another TAG

So thanks to my pal Jacque I have been tagged to bore you all to tears by telling you 6 things you might not know about me. So grab a pillow and get ready to read something from one of the most boring people on the planet!!

1. I used to cordinate my socks and shoes to my outfits in Elementary. I would wear 2 socks each foot and alternate them and them pick a matching Ked. I was awesome.

2. My favorite thing to do growing up was make haunted houses. In the backyard in fridge boxes, in the bedroom, in the bathroom didn't matter. Couldn't get enough.

3. I've been the same height and shoe size since 6th grade. Yes I was a beast.

4. Brian was my first kiss! I was so worried about having to remember someone I didn't really like, so I waited for a hunk to sweep me off my feet! (If I said it was on our wedding day would you believe me?!)

5. Our first car as a married couple was a mustard color 1977 VW Micro bus. That I could never drive because the seat was rusted and wouldn't move so I couldn't reach the clutch.

6. I have hiked to the top of Humphrey's peak in Flagstaff. It is 12,633ft and the highest mountain in AZ. It was awesome.

So that's random me. I am supposed to call people out so I am thinking I would like to torture... Christy and Marie. you better do it because if I did you better or I'll haunt your site, whooooo (that's a ghost sound)

Where did the time go?

I have been going through the 2 boxes of old photos I brought to AZ with me that I swore I would get organized and filed away and have not done until now!!!There were some super fun memories. We have been married long enough to not had the priviledge of having a digital camera for having baby picts of kass so i forget how cute and little she was. so i started looking through stuff on the computer to see what i need to print and save. Since Easter is almost here i thought I'd show you a shot from Easter 2005. My how they've changed. It's funny how time can slip through those fingers no matter how tight our grip is!

One of my favorites of Abbey doing what she loved best, getting dirty. Now I can't get her to play in the dirt! She's getting so big.

This was on a friends site. It is so wild to watch. They really look frozen. I would loved to have seen this!

LOVEY DOVEY DAY

Too gross for pictures

I had a frightening thing happen and was going to take a photo but my stomach couldn't handle it.

I was done with a box of granola cereal and being the recycle freak I am, i started to break down the box. so I pulled the plastic bag out like always so i could throw it out. i couldn't seem to get it out it was stuck on SOMETHING. that something was a huge used BAND-AID!!!! It was off of some mammoth sized thumb i am assuming because it was bigger than my big toe. It was rolled up like it got stuck and they pulled their hand out, don't know, don't care, just grossed out! So now i am afraid to pull bags out of cereal boxes. I just had to tell all how grossed out i was. some may think it's no big deal but it is to me!

So I did it. I buckled down and finished taxes. First and last time I will admit! SO I sent them off. I figured if I screwed up too bad Brian can send in an amendment!

Tuff taxes

So I am supposed to be doing taxes right now. For those that know me well this is funny. I have never done taxes in the 9 1/2 years we've been married! My contribution is the social numbers and birth dates. ha! SO to make it easier on Brian I thought i'd be so nice and take over. Well i got frustrated and walked away for a bit! The funniest part is that i am using h&r block tax cut (because it's free to us!) it is very very easy to use and leaves nothing left unlooked. I am struggling with the notion that i forgot something or did too much! This is not my thing. So I am venting my lack of computer filing skills. I will let you know if I ever get it done!
